Rowan looked over the remains of... well he wasn’t even sure what it had been. Some fires, that much was apparent, but for what he had no idea. Given their location it was nothing practical. Burning items from the looks of it, and he was only assuming that based off the few trinkets that remained, things that were fire proof. A few children who looked like they were starving were rummaging, and really he didn’t blame them. What a waste. He bent down to pick up what appeared to have once been some sort of item of clothing, not quite thrown far enough into the flames to burn all the way. Nicely made, soft, unlike anything he’d seen before, and most of it was ash now. These people were insane.
Feeling someone’s eyes burning into his back, he straightened up to his full height before turning. “You have something to say, or you just want to stare at a bedtime story?” it hadn’t taken him too long to realise that’s what the kingdoms had reduced them all to. Hide away their own wrongdoings by dehumanising others. And then calling them the barbaric ones.
