Seeing when Animal Man was among the "Forgotten Heroes" is so odd, him and Dolphin both. Especially seeing Buddy Baker of all people trying to play the overconfident wiseass. Action Comics 552

RIP HUNTER & JEFF SMITH in TIME MASTERS (1990)
From Brave and the Bold # 41, 1962, we have the last Silver-Age Cave Carson story.
Seems the green cone-headed blokes aren't part of an underground (and I have to say a very well lit underground) civilazation but just some crooks from another dimension.
After some dashing about and getting zapped by their mostly harmless ray gun, Cave fixes the problem by punching the leader of the thieves in the head again and making it stick that time. They rush back to their dimension, and Cave breaks their dimension-hopping device.
