Noszvaj Cave Dwellings are a locally protected architectural monument in Egra-Bükkalja, on the southeastern edge of Noszvaj in Heves County. A group of cave dwellings carved into the surface rhyolite tufa of volcanic origin is assumed to have been created in the 19th century. - In the 16th century, the first cellars and cave dwellings appeared, storehouses for crops, which over time. Following the architectural tradition of the region, it became multi-part dwellings with white-painted facades, even with stone porches. In 1958, about seventy families still lived in cave dwellings. However, in the second half of the 20th century, the inhabitants gradually abandoned the cave dwellings. - Under the leadership of the sculptors Péter Baláz and Ottó Horváth and in cooperation with a group of artists have founded the Farkaskő Art Center.
