The Wildlife Park is a family owned and operated establishment (can’t say there’s something like this in the states) and they’d began purchasing land back in 1988 which only had 5 species of animals on it at the time. Now it’s grown into a whole park for people to come enjoy and interact with these animals under the supervision of the caretakers that are walking around to ensure you’re not abusing the animals lol. To my surprise, the caretakers know all of the animals names. Inside of this section of kangaroos were maybe, 50 or more kangaroos and a caretaker came up to me and said, “Billy looks like he’s hungry today! Looks like his girlfriend decided to go exercise without him” ....what?! Lol asked of course and she said they always hang out with each other during feeding times and nap times. The best thing about this park is that it feels so interactive with the animals and it does feel that the animals have a big space to roam freely and are not confined to a small space like what I know zoos tend to do. The first time I came here was back in 2012. 7 years later and it still feels amazing to be able to do something like this with an animal that’s non-existent in the states 😊 Guess who photobombed the second picture???
