begging people to stop using alt text and captioning as like. a vehicle for jokes instead of the accessibility tools they are

#caws #half the time i click into a pic on bsky and the alt text pops up the author added a joke instead of actually describing the image #like. come on.#and i hate when im watching a video see theres captions click into it #and its clearly the script fed into youtubes auto sync without any checking for accuracy #or like outright incorrect captions #you are a youtuber with 100k subs you can take the time to edit your captions!

i may do a replay of slow damage soon. i remember the broad strokes of the game but theres a lot of details ive forgotten and ive changed quite a lot since the last time i played it

i feel like i underappreciate undertale compared to deltarune most of the time. post chapter 2 i began holding undertale in my mind as something in competition with deltarune rather than in conversation. the game invites comparison by putting you in a town full of characters you already know in new-yet-related circumstances to their origin game. but im replaying undertale and i think i forgot just how charming and wonderful the game is.

i dont focus much on fanfic stats because they truly do not matter, im being self indulgent. that said, i do think its interesting how engagement ranges fandom to fandom in terms of view to kudos/comment/bookmark ratios

#caws #the biggest correlation ive found is frequency of fics being posted/updated #those tend to have smaller ratios because like if your fic is on the front page for 3 days more people will see it vs 5 minutes #but thats not the only factor. some fandoms respond way more than others even over months #rating is also a factor people bookmark my rated e fics way more than anything else
