PUBLIC ART YOUTH EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM LAUNCHES JULY 6TH
Creative Art Works (CAW) will launch it’s Summer 2015 Public Art Youth Employment Program on Monday, July 6th. This program gives full-time summer jobs to young adults ages 14-24 years old creating large-scale public art or multimedia projects.
Youth Apprentices are involved at all stages of the endeavor from the initial planning down to the public unveiling. They gain tangible employment skills as well as general life skills such as leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and the power of taking initiative.
Please stop by one of our work sites and talk to our Youth Apprentices, Teaching Artists, Teaching Artist Assistants and partners. We will be at six sites starting on July 6th, and a seventh site starting in August.
