3 feet of snow? Plz no.

I live between 3000-5000 feet on the west slope of the Sierra Nevada and am not particularly looking forward to the next week of inclement weather. If the NWS forecast is accurate, it's going to be a dangerous mess... again.

We will do what must be done.

I like to see this because it makes me feel like all of the horrible things our family has gone through over the last couple of weeks related to the atmospheric river and bomb cyclone storms have been worthwhile.

A tree fell and cracked my house in two and I'm sleeping in my living room now because my bedroom is open to the elements..

We're swamped with snow up to my hips, and the snow fell in such quantities that it took out powerlines, cable infrastructure, and cell towers.

BUT! the drought where I live may be lessened or even gone.

That's big.

That's a huge relief.

Before and After satellite imaging of our dear California. Atmospheric rivers dumped an estimated 20 trillion gallons of H2O. We needed it but it didn't come without consequences! There was tons of flooding and my place of work has been closed since the end of December at Los Vaqueros Watershed. Anyways look at those drastic differences in color and snow. I think we're gonna be good for another year!
