productive session at the library with my friends the other day! we were literally there the whole day lmao but it was worth it bc this week is hell week aka 1st exams of the year D: had GP and economics papers today which went meh.. hoping that ill be able to pass everything, at least!

side note: didn't do v well for my tests and I'm finding it quite difficult to be productive but I'm taking small steps and hopefully i’ll reach there soon!
How to Get Started
let’s face it, the hardest part of doing work is actually getting yourself up to actually do it. and thats a struggle i deal with almost everyday lol.
so i put together this list of things to do in order to get work done, and hopefully it works out for you like it has for me!
- put away all distractions : phones, laptops, internet, whatever that keeps you from being focused. leave them somewhere out of your touch and sight. this is vvv important and will really help you to shift your mind on to your work at hand!!!
- make a list : write down everything you have to do. you could use a bullet journal or just a simple post-it; whatever works for you :-)
- essentials : a cup of tea/snacks/candle – anything you need to survive(you know what i mean)
- pomodoro : this is a lifesaver. if you are unfamiliar with the pomodoro technique, learn about it here. it is a really great way to get started and stay focused. i use the app pomodrone, its really easy to use and has a simple layout. another notable app is forest, many people i know use it and love it. however, it isn’t free and costs $2.98 on the app store.
- tackle 1 task at a time : as in, complete 1 task before doing the next. don’t leave things halfway done!! for every task you complete, mark it off or give yourself a sticker/treat. looking at a fully crossed out to-do list is very satisfying and at the end of the day you get work done😊
- take breaks : between tasks or after you are done, give yourself a break before starting again. i made a long list of things you can do during yours breaks a while back (x)
remember: its does not matter how slow you go, as long as you do not stop.
