2012-2013 Top 10 Young TV Ships as voted by YOU! The annual Portrait Top 10 Young TV Ships Poll is always an interesting time of the year as the staff are glued to their computer screens over several weeks monitoring ships moving up and down, fandoms fervently competing against each other to ensure that their OTP rises closer to the top spot. Now in our 7th year, the 2012-2013 Portrait Top 10 Young TV Ships Poll was certainly no different. Over 1 600 000 votes later and the final results are here. Did Gossip Girl’s Chuck and Blair get their final hurrah and maintain their top spot for one last time or did ships from popular fanbases like Glee and The Vampire Diaries nudge them out of the way? Read on and find out! The Final Results: 1. Chuck & Blair (Gossip Girl) (416 033) 26% 2. Sam & Mercedes (Glee) (356 086) 22% 3. Damon & Elena (The Vampire Diaries) (297 505) 19% #1. Chuck Bass & Blair Waldorf [Gossip Girl] "What we have is a great love. It’s complicated. Intense. All-consuming. No matter what we do and how much we fight, it’ll always pull us in." It seems fitting that in their last year, Chuck and Blair have dominated our poll and taken out the top spot for the fourth time. Fans have been patient for six years waiting for these two to finally get their act together for the long haul and in the show’s finale that patience had been rewarded with what they had always known: Chuck + Blair = Endgame. The road has never been easy for these two but it’s always been interesting, which has been the very essence of the pairing – they’re never boring. Whether they were together or apart, they kept fans enthralled with their antics and captivating chemistry. There’s been snark, heartbreak, angst, scheming, joy, playfulness and tears, but without all that they wouldn’t be where they are today – happily married with an adorable son and a legion of dedicated fans. There is no one like them nor will there ever be. Long live Chuck and Blair! Memorable Shipper Moment: The flashforward in the Gossip Girl finale – we saw that they were happily married with a beautiful son and that they had broken the mould of their past and successfully became something that their own parents never were – devoted parents and a successful family unit.
If Liz and Dick had been Blair and Chuck instead, it would have been entertaining on purpose instead of by accident. I have no problem saying those three words, eight letters to these two. I love you, and I'll definitely say it twice. I’m yours. Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester have so much chemistry my TV screen melts a little each time they are on it. From their insanely hot first hookup in a limo to what looks to be their wedding in the finale tonight, they are the King and Queen B. of my heart. Could a normal relationship withstand an attempt to sell the girlfriend for a hotel, a pregnancy and marriage to another (royal) guy, a near-death car accident, approximately 8 million breakups and 9 billion revenge hookups? No. But the love between the bespoke-purple-suited Chuck and crowned-by-headband Blair is not for mere mortals.

Every time we dressed Chuck, I thought it was important that his and Blair's tones and patterns matched, or there are colors that coordinate between the two of them to match the story of their evolution together... One [big finale look] was definitely the "Chair," the Chuck and Blair wedding. I dressed Blair in an amazing blue dress from Elie Saab that was old Hollywood glamour meets contemporary minimalist. I feel like it embodied what Blair should be in her wedding dress. There were small little flowers embroidered all over this dress in the blue that reminded me of the peony color that she loves. Then we had Chuck's tux custom-made by Martin Greenfield, which is this amazing suit manufacturer out in Long Island City. We had to wait until the very last minute, because I wanted his lapel and his bowtie to match the dress, but we didn't have Blair in the dress yet. I really wanted them to have that link with their clothing along with the actual nuptials.

From the beginning of time, Gossip Girl time that is, I think people wanted to know what's going to happen with Chuck and Blair.

A Chairytale Wedding! XOXOE
It seemed like the ultimate coming together of their union and their future. And wanting to see that Chuck and Blair could both be good parents… See the joy that that little boy brings to his grandparents. And you got to see a little mini-Chuck in a bowtie.
Why was it important for you [SS] to show that Chuck and Blair had become parents? ~TVLINE
