General Rules
You must be 18+ to participate.,
Every fanwork must be original, Crowley-centric and human made. No AI allowed.
No RPF.
AUs allowed.
No crossovers.
Be mindful and respectful of other participants. No racism, sexism, bashing of any kind. Fandom is a shared space, and while shared love isn’t enough to always get along, it should be enough to be civil towards each other.
Respect others’ artistic property. Fandom is a shared space, but that doesn’t mean that every shared idea is free for you to use. Ask before you do.
See something, say something. We will try to deal with issues privately before adopting any other resolution.
Be respectful of Mark Sheppard and his family.
Ignoring any of these rules will result in a ban.
Addendum: be patient with the mods. It’s just an admin and one IRL overworked mod.
The fine print, as usual, below the cut:
Bang Rules
You can sign up as an author, as an artist, as a beta. Multiple roles are allowed.
Be civil towards your teammates and collaborators.
Respond to check-ins and messages from teammates and admins, and don’t miss the deadlines.
If you’re to miss a deadline, let us know in advance. Life gets in the way, but we work hard to make sure everything runs smoothly for everyone - be considerate and act accordingly, please.
Let your teammate know about your availability. Talk about timezones, expectations, workloads and such.
You have 48 hours to reply to check-ins and emails from the mod team.
If you have issues of any kind that might prevent you from respecting the deadlines (limited internet connection, for instance, or you work on an oil rig/in the depths of the jungle for weeks on end, or you have a curse that will devour your soul if you look at your emails more than once a week) please, let us know so we can work around that.
Reach out to the mod team if there’s anything wrong. We’re here to help, as much as demons can.
Three strikes rule: every unjustified delay is a warning. On the third, you’re out.
Authors
For our writers, usual general rules apply
you must write at least 5K words in order to enter Claims. There's no upper limit.
No restrictions on contents, with the exceptions above (RPF, crossovers). We will, however, be unable to promo certain details, should you choose to include them in your summaries.
Tag extensively, especially before claims. Artists should know what they’re about to work on.
Aside from the Archive warnings, racial hate, homophobia, graphic depictions of torture (on humans or animals), eating disorders, self-harm, alcoholism, abuse of any kind are all things that require to be flagged before sharing a story. When in doubt, tag it. When still in doubt, contact your teammate or a mod about it!
Bangs are not commissions: once you have laid down your hard no's, you should respect your teammate’s vision and process.
Since Claims are a blind process, please, only talk about your project in the Authors’ channel of our server, or refrain from sharing revealing details in public, anyway.
Anything you create for the Bang must be kept under wraps until your posting date - you can only share with the mods, your beta, and your artist.
Pieces must be beta'd before being posted.,
Artists
This year, we’re shaking things up a bit. You have three options.
Mini Bang: 5-10 K words = a banner
Midi Bang: 10-15 K words = Art and independent banner
Big Bang: over 15K words = 2 pieces of art and banner
If you signed up as an author and artist, you cannot claim your own work.
You can specify if you’re willing to work on more than one fic, or pinch hit.
You’re required to respect the authors’ hard nos.,In the unlikely case of an author creating E rated stories and requiring those scenes to not be included in the art, we'll consider that as a hard guideline and not a preference.
When getting into Claims, you'll have to create your art according to these tiers,
Mini Bang: 5-10 K words = a banner
Midi Bang: 10-15 K words = a banner and one independent piece of art
Big Bang: over 15K words = a banner and 2 pieces of art.
You’re by no means limited by these requirements. If you wish to create chapter headers, dividers, more art or anything else, art away!
Authors are free to change their tiers as they write, but you will only be bound to the lower limit.
EG: if you claim a Midi Bang story that grows into a Big Bang piece, you will still only need to create a banner and a piece of art.
If you claim a Midi Bang piece that ends up drastically below the word count, you will only be required to create a banner.
Art created for the Bang cannot be shared anywhere public before the posting date.
All pieces of work should however look complete, and reflect that thoughtful effort has been put into it. For instance, the artwork can be photomanip, but it must involve more than applying a filter to it, or simply creating a collage.
Additional pieces, beyond the required ones, may be exempt from this rule - moodboard to your heart's content.
Both Artists and Authors agree that Bangs are not commission. No one should solicit additional fanworks from their partner, or anyone outside the team. And you shouldn't share revealing details on your story in hopes of getting a certain pair.
Summary: When a collection of priceless jewels vanishes from a high society household, private detective Crowley gets hired to solve it. Problem is, the suspiciously incompetent "valet" downstairs is obviously the culprit. Meanwhile, Castiel, who's working undercover for the Bow Street Runners, has spotted an obvious imposter playing guest. Accusations fly. Both realise the other isn't actually the thief and they're forced into working together despite everything to solve the case. What they uncover ends up being far more twisted than a simple heist…

Relationship: Crowley & Castiel (gen or pre-slash)
Rules And Guidelines for the 2026 Crowley Big Bang
Hell has moved, evolved, changed. We abandoned Dante's classical structure and moved on to more personalized torments. Still, there are general rules, especially when we invite new people to join. So, without further ado...
