Your stuff about Crowley is interesting! Do you read his stuff with Amara and the van of sacrificial victims as rapey kidnappey also? It reminds me of luring kids with candy and it's on the heels of the altar boy stuff. I don't know if you're a big Amara analyzer, but do you have any thoughts about how Crowley refers to himself as her father but she never refers to him that way? Or just any Amara Crowley in general?

Hmmm. These are all interesting questions!

Unfortunately, I do not remember s11 well enough to answer properly lol. It bored me too much.

I will say though. Crowley was absolutely trying to force a dynamic where he is liked and powerful at once. And it failed spectacularly. Crowley is a character who is always engaging in power plays, even in casual convo. He is trying to use Amara and leash her to him while still unleashing her evil overall. As usual, he's way out of his league and it fails.

This arc is also coming in the heels of his s10 arc where he tried to tame Dean who has the Mark too. He tried to be the boyfriend+king back then by manipulating Dean really badly. And that didn't work either. And I think he's quite bitter about it and gets really angry at Dean for not letting it happen. He was very close to having access to so much power (and also Dean). So he's been looking really weak to his Hellish subjects too. It's a mess and he hates it.

Amara is a lot like him. But she is very confident of her power over Dean in a way Crowley isn't imo. And both of them are taking turns trying to appeal to Dean to trust them instead of the other, and submit to their will. And that still doesn't work, because Dean actually has support by the time late s11 rolls around. Sam is the most supportive he's ever been. Cas became Casifer and that's a real weak point, but still. Dean doesn't give in so easily. So I think Amara and Crowley both hate each other's guts.

I'm having a bad day due to my own poor decision making, so I'm glad that I got this ask, even if it was submitted two days ago.

Anyway, I'm still eight episodes away from the finale because I've purposely been dragging it out for a few reasons:

I want to finish the two Destiel fics I'm currently writing before I decide to move on to something bigger (hint hint).

I just- don't want it to end. I've been watching this show for exactly ten and a half months, and I don't want to let go, especially knowing that everyone hates the ending.

Supernatural has given me such a wonderful burst of creative energy, and I don't know if I'm ever going to find another show to replicate that experience. I mean, so far I've written seventeen Supernatural fics, which is a lot for a newcomer.

On the bright side, I'm so glad that my Crobby propaganda is spreading! I was so surprised to discover that almost no one in the fandom shipped it (the Crobby tag on this site only has 1k followers and there's a little over 1k fics for them on AO3), and I hoped to drag people into my insanity with my posts. I guess it must be working! Oh, and please pray for the Crobby fic that's been buried in my drafts since November, and hopefully, I'll be able to get the spark back.
