Antagonist Pearl for Pantheon
Okay, it’s somewhat known (at least by most Spuds) that Pearl is debating being an antagonist for PanSMP, and plans to wait and upload a movie at the end of it all instead of doing episodes. She said this in her ‘I Have Some Thoughts’ Vod at about 3:00:44 if you want more info.
Well, I’ve been doing some thinking. Did thinking last night, did thinking this morning on my walk. I’ve been thinking.
Pearl’s gonna be hard to dislike. She’s sweet, she’s funny, all around silliest of gooses. But— But she can be a lovable antagonist, and more than likely will be reading the comments on the other vampires champions’ episodes to get ideas and see just how she’s coming across to the audience. She said in her vod that she hopes people will understand that she as a CC would never go and bully anyone, but her Pantheon character would.
Now, here’s the thing, if she plays her cards well, as in, becomes an antagonist people love— an antagonist people love to hate even— that sets her up to have the confidence to play the antagonist in the future. (this is important for a future post)
Just giving her confidence in general with roleplay would be great, and I love love LOVE that Owen reached out and asked her to join vampires. I still remember the raid in which he mentioned that they don’t do a lot together and said he’d poke Pearl for a project. I just. . . I want so bad for this antagonist thing to go well for her, and am so excited for Pantheon to give her this chance.
Now do I know anything about Greek Mythology? Eh, slightly. I know about Hestia being technically Ace. I know Zeus sleeps around. I know about Odysseus (learnt bout him in high school) and Poseidon, Hercules and Megaera (Herc kills her at some point I think). I know about Cerberus and Hades. . . That’s it. Oh, and I know there’s one named Athena. Other than that, lost as a goat with a bucket on its head, but I am excited!
