The Play by Play
Nearly immediately after the motive is announced, Osamu plans to commit murder. He knows how he is going to do it, however he spends a few days working up the nerve to do so.
At 8:12 PM on April 10th, Osamu goes to the canteen and hides behind the cracked door, planning to attack someone who comes to use the virtual reality machines.
At 8:30 PM, Nanase goes to the lounge to speak with those considering watching their videos again.
Osamu sees Nanase, but has a moment of weakness, and continues waiting.
At 8:52 PM, Adeline goes to the lounge to watch her video again. However, she spots Nanase and they have a casual conversation until 9:17 PM, and she returns to her room.
At 9 PM, Tsukiko goes to the canteen to get something to drink. Osamu hears the door open and frantically starts looking for something to eat.
Tsukiko tries to engage him in conversation, and he is quite obviously uncomfortable because he fears that he is missing his opportunity to murder. At 9:12, he manages to kick her out.
At 9:30 PM, Clive goes to the lounge for some casual conversation. Nanase and him speak until 9:50 PM, and then he returns to his room.
On the way, however, he runs into Hideki, who went to watch his video again.
Nanase and Hideki speak, and as it turns out, Hideki has been heavily contemplating murder. Nanase however, is able to talk him down from it, along with talking about the content of the videos.
At 10:30 PM, Hideki finally returns to his room. Nanase elects to stay and talk to others, however it’s getting late, and at 10:40 PM he falls asleep on the sofa.
Osamu hears snoring and realizes that this is his chance. After working up the nerve and realizing that no one else is in the room, he walks into the lounge at 10:43 and tries to pick up Nanase.
Nanase, thinking that Osamu just wants to sit on the sofa, is compliant at first. However, once he realizes what’s going on, he tries to run away, and his barrette falls off.
Osamu grabs Nanase by the hand and pulls him back, scratching him.
Nanase attempts to elbow Osamu in the gut, which stuns him for just a moment, but Osamu maintains his grip.
Osamu forces Nanase down into the chair, slamming the visor down until the chair electrifies him to death.
When he slams the visor down, Nanase’s glasses break and scratch his face, falling to his feet.
Osamu removes the nameplate on Hideki’s chair with his nailfile and swaps it out for the one on Shou’s chair.
Panicking, he escapes through the door to the canteen, bumping into and knocking over the empty kettle. The two canteen doors and the door to the kitchen are left ajar.
After that, he makes his way to his bedroom, where Neo is already very much asleep.
The Evidence
{Nanase’s Barrette} Found halfway between Hideki’s chair and the sofa.
{Hand Scratches} Several long scratches run all along Nanase’s right hand. They don’t look pretty, but they’re not deep enough to bleed.
{Face Scratches} Several short scratches start from below Nanase’s eyes and trail down his face. They were bleeding, at some point.
{Nanase’s Glasses} Nanase’s glasses are broken right at his feet.
{Chair} Nanase was killed in Shou’s chair.
{Nameplate} The nameplate on the chair says Hideki.
{Nameplates} Shou and Hideki’s nameplates were swapped.
{Silhouette} Kaoru spotted someone tall silhouetted against the curtains in the lounge at 11 PM from the courtyard.
{Doors} Footsteps were heard on 2F and a bedroom door on the east side was closed around 11:05 PM.
{Canteen Doors} Both doors to the canteen are ajar.
{Kitchen Door} The kitchen door is ajar.
{Kettle} open the doooor hit the flooooor
{Crashing Sound} Moe heard a crash at 11 pm. It turned out to be the kettle.
