Want to join me?” In reality he wanted to talk with Jasper privately, but he had to come up with a cover so that the rest of the family didn’t question it. Carlisle feared that another fight was on the horizon, and with Jasper’s background being what it was, he wanted to get the younger vampire’s opinion on the situation.
