connie’s initial thoughts towards forks weren’t much different from her own. truth was persephone still didn’t find what the appealing was. what had drawn so many of her kind to this place would remain a mystery. “the weather is definitely a perk. but i agree at first glance there isn’t an obvious appeal to this place.” her lips curled up into a smile to match her sister’s. “perhaps just a little. home home? i can not relate.” her human life in berlin had been terrible; the vampire had blocked most memories of her human days. “i am glad to see you as well, connie. you were missed.” she replied and nodded at her following inquire. “i’m still relatively new. but i can most certainly show you the places i’ve discovered.” 

“It seems as if there isn’t really a lot going on. It is pretty here though.” Connie offered. “There’s bigger towns close by, yes?” She was certainly interested in seeing what the Pacific Northwest had to offer, making the most of her time in the area before they all moved on. “I missed it, you know. It’s changed a lot over the years but it didn’t feel too different. I spent most of my nights on the beach. It almost felt like I never left - it’s silly, I know.” To an extent Connie missed her human life, but she knew that it would have been far from satisfying, spending her entire life in one place. “Please, lead the way!” She grinned.

She had felt comfortable with him ever since their first meeting, and she was glad that there was someone in the dreary town who could at least somewhat understand her. “Well, apart from the dead springing back to life and complicating everything, I don’t see this town as having any merit whatsoever. “So it’s true then?” He had heard murmurings of vampires returning from the dead. But even he, who had dedicated a great deal of his life to studying the occult, had reservations when it came to vampires returning. After all, there was no physical body that remained. “I wonder how they’ve managed that...” He mused. Perhaps he had a new project on the horizon. “If the Volturi weren’t present I’d suggest you screw the rules here and let loose. It was liven this place up, at any rate.”

“Clearly you’ve never been to Alaska!” Carlisle joked. “I’ve passed through some very small places there.” He paused, his expression thoughtful. Harry was right. “It certainly is curious. You would have thought that our kind would favour cities because it’d be easier to blend in.” Carlisle had spent his fair share of time in cities but preferred the relative peace and quiet that small town life afforded.” An amused smile tugged at his lips. “I’m a doctor. I know how odd that sounds. I had one to be one since I was a boy, but my father insisted that I follow him into the church.” His eyebrows raised. “France? That must have been quite turbulent. She certainly was.” He agreed with a soft sigh. “I grew up during the civil wars - I don’t have particularly fond memories of life under Cromwell.”

“One of Amelie’s girls?” Alaric asked, confusion making itself known on his face. He hadn’t kept tabs on her, wanting to give her the freedom she had been so desperate to take, having presumed that in enough time she would come back to him. He knew she had never birthed a child whilst human so all he could presume was that she had turned the vampire before him, and by the sounds of it, others. She had formed a coven, and he had kept wandering. The hopes he’d had for a reunion, suddenly seemed impossible. “I see. Do you know who I am?”

“Is there an echo?” An eyebrow raised. “That’s what I said.” She certainly thought that she had been clear. “What’s it to you?” Connie surveyed the man in front of her, burgundy eyes narrowing. “I think I can hazard a guess.” She murmured, memories of cautionary tales springing to mind... an unpleasant creator. “Alan, isn’t it? Perhaps Alistair? Somethin’ like that, at the very least.” Her shoulders shrugged slightly. “I’ve never been one for rememberin’ names, as it goes.”
