Cody didn’t sleep well after he had the dream about General Skywalker. He didn’t expect to have it, he wans’t in love with him and he never wanted him. So why? His mind was trying to tell him something? He was sure not, but he did it and he was nervous.
When he arrived on the bridge he didn’t find General Kenobi.
He said before noticing General Skywalker who turned to wave the commander a nod on his head.
“M… Morning General Skywalker. It… It’s a pleasure to have you here.”
Pleasure? No what he was saying? He had to control himself or General Skywalker would understand what he was thinking.
Cody hoped that General Skywalker won’t do questions about his strange behaviour.
Anakin noticed Cody's behavior change almost instantly. He knew each of the clones and their little ticks to their personalities like the back of his hand, so upon hearing the stutter in the Commander's voice, his head tilted, eyebrows raising in curiosity. A soft hum leaving his lips, but he says nothing further on the matter. There's more important things to deal with.
"Well, Commander." Anakin said with a widening grin, "Obi-Wan has asked me to fill his position, so to speak while he's off on singular mission. He'll likely be calling for back up, but I'll be the one calling the shots, of course." He gave a small shrug, "So we're just preparing for the battle that's to come. Hope you got a good nights rest because this one is going to be a long one, I feel."
