Corrine Cross’s Dead & Breakfast by badchalk
I’ve been playing a few of the games that were entered in IGMC2015 off and on, and this one is one I feel worth drawing fanart for and sharing! You play as Corrine who has recently been asked to watch over an old woman’s home for seven days while she’s in the hospital. It turns out that that house is not empty, and Corrine soon finds herself a handful of quirky ghosts to meet and help.
Gameplay is mostly exploring and talking to characters, but there are gardening and cooking mini-games as well to earn money and make treats for the ghosts.
Keep in mind the game was made in a month, so there’s really only one main branch to the story, despite it looking like there should be more. But that main branch is really charming! The visuals are wonderfully done and the cast of characters are diverse in both appearance and personality.

(The game does deal lightly with themes of loss and moving past death. I didn’t spot anything else to warn about though. :) )
