Showdown! Super Idol Galaxy, affectionally nicknamed S!SIG.

This was from way back in 2015 for Game Dev Fort’s Indie Game Maker Contest, but I guess we just forgot to post it here! It isn’t quite everything we wanted it to be, but given the constraints and complications we ran into, we’re proud of what we accomplished regardless.

Hey everyone, our IGMC 2015 game, Ruin Frontier, now has a proper game page! We made this game in a month for the contest and we’re proud of what we accomplished. Above are a number of screenshots as well as some of the concept art I made for the game.

The game is a futuristic attrition-based randomizing dungeon crawler where you assume the role of Quantevallion, a fiercely independent AI that has to fight her way through an army of mercenaries and their drones to escape and seek the truth of her origins. The game has you controlling a squad of 4 drones which can be customized with a variety of weapons and modules as you see fit. You can find the game’s page on RMN below.

Corrine Cross’s Dead & Breakfast by badchalk

I’ve been playing a few of the games that were entered in IGMC2015 off and on, and this one is one I feel worth drawing fanart for and sharing! You play as Corrine who has recently been asked to watch over an old woman’s home for seven days while she’s in the hospital. It turns out that that house is not empty, and Corrine soon finds herself a handful of quirky ghosts to meet and help.

Gameplay is mostly exploring and talking to characters, but there are gardening and cooking mini-games as well to earn money and make treats for the ghosts.

Keep in mind the game was made in a month, so there’s really only one main branch to the story, despite it looking like there should be more. But that main branch is really charming! The visuals are wonderfully done and the cast of characters are diverse in both appearance and personality.

(The game does deal lightly with themes of loss and moving past death. I didn’t spot anything else to warn about though. :) )

Since it’s made in RPGmaker, it is only for PC. Actual screenshots for the game can be seen on it’s gamepage along with a download link!

Sorry I’ve been unproductive these last couple of days post igmc guys. I am pretty sure I am experiencing creative burnout. I actually tried backing out for a while and ended up sleeping / waking up even worse. I guess what I need is a couple days worth of social interaction and freshness to come back with renewed inspiration. IT’s kinda hard to do that when you’re short on money and your friends are living in other countries, but I’m gonna figure out how to have some happy fun and please myself to come back freshheaded~

That being said, I did just finish a pretty huge game. I must give myself the credit.
