I’m going to be at Calgary Expo again this year and bringing my little sister cosplay with me this time! Since I don’t have any friends going with me this year, it could be pretty sweet to meet up with some other geeks? Especially if you’re another Bioshock cosplayer! ccee 2015 akamaple photos

Sorry about the mass posting of the akamaple cosplay photos. I was with the group of cosplayers in the pictures ( if I had finished Cullen on time I would have been shooting with them).

What I think makes these photos even more incredible, is that it was so terribly cold and windy the morning these were taken. All of these amazing cosplayers in between shooting pretty much froze their butts off lol. At one point all huddling in a corner trying to evade the icy wind, and trying to use a cap KimmKazplay brought to stay warm. Also akamaple deserves a ton of praise, just look at these gorgeous shots. They were wonderful to see work, and produce such amazing photos.

All of these cosplayers inspire me too finish my costume, so that I can have the privellage of being photographed with them.

I went all the way to the beginning of this year’s posts in the Calgary expo tag.

Why?

Because I was mad that I saw only parts of your pictures taken with Lana. They were cropped, you were forgotten and Lana’s head was reposted everywhere, it was used to make icons and manips and what not. And I’m sorry for you guys because it feels like someone stole your precious personal moments with her, like violation of your experience, of your best days of your lives. And I wanted to see the whole picture, not just Lana. 

So I started with the hunting in Lana’s tag. But then I went to the Calgary expo tag and I had to hunt down all the pictures.

I liked all your photos with celebrities and your autographs and reblogged your photos/autographs with Lana (if I didn’t, it wasn’t on purpose, I swear).

It took me like 4 hours I guess, maybe more.

But it was worth it. All of you have beautiful photos. You do. And you know why? Because you are standing next to your idol, next to someone who you adore and love. You are happy. And the happiness is in your eyes and in your smile and that is beautiful. And it doesn’t matter if you did the funniest pose, if you were dorks, if you cosplayed or if you just stood next to each other. You were happy and that’s just beautiful.

By the time I got to the end, I knew the actors from shows I don’t watch, I knew their faces, even some names.

If you want to show me yours, I’ll be happy. 

I wish I was so bold to ask my favourite actresses for such poses. Gosh, I wish I could even come with such ideas! You all are an inspiration. Your smiles and sparks in your eyes are.

Your cosplays are fucking amazing, I had to go back couple times and look again because I wasn’t sure if it’s a real thing or a cosplay. Some of you are really dedicated and spent a lot of time making the perfect costume. I hope all of your costumes were appreciated!

I’m so excited to go to cons again, Regal con and Spooky Empire can’t come fast enough! I won’t copy your poses. But I will remember that if I won’t to do some, I just have to ask. Thanks guys!

And also, I’m going to hunt down all your photos from Regal con, Spooky Empire and Fairy Tale III. I want to see them all!
