6: gentle peck.
while aware of the view electra holds of their relationship, joonmyeon isn’t so sure what he would call it. he hadn’t really ever agreed to anything, only been told -- but the unspoken commitment still lies heavy on his shoulders, heart too kind to push it away. it’s strange, definitely, and it might not be a stretch to describe electra in the same way, but something about her makes joonmyeon stay; makes him want to satisfy her, even in their odd situation.
as strange as the arrangement is, joonmyeon can’t deny how he loses himself in the affection that comes with it. he has always been weak to skinship, and even in such a predicament he’s no different. at present, electra is settled comfortable on his lap, side to his chest with her arms circled around joonmyeon’s neck and one of the man’s around her waist. his free hand rests on her thigh, carefully placed close enough to her knee to be chaste but avoid awkwardness. he melts into any contact easily, worries and concerns fading away as he allows himself to enjoy the warmth of companionship and the sense of something stable and loving.
a tug of affection in his gut has him pressing a gentle kiss to electra’s lips, a smile spreading across his own when he hears her gasp, surprised. it’s often electra who makes the first move, joonmyeon being the less experienced of the two and less confident in what bond they share, but he’s begun to figure that if he isn’t going to push her away, he might as well keep her as close as a lover would. he knows she’s not loyal, either, and it doesn’t bother him -- if anything, it makes it easier to delude himself into the illusion, knowing that she isn’t betting on him to love her fully.
a hand lands on his cheek as electra returns the soft kiss, and joonmyeon’s steady pair turn her towards him to pull her closer as the little pecks continue, light kisses continuing and sending joonmyeon into a daze. at times like this, he understands electra’s opinion much more.
