It turns out that the USB3 to Lightning adapter isn't the best choice for this type of stuff! If anyone missed it, I made a live stream today in where I was doing some extensive testing of different "dongle configurations", including powered and non-powered USB hub, CCK, USB3 to Lightning, adapters, even different chargers.
