      CALL IT HIS prankster senses... or maybe just plain luck - regardless, the sixth year had something of an inkling that catastrophe had been in the air that morning. his suspicions proved correct as he observed the less than pleasant cackle of an accomplished poltergeist. regardless, the prospect of a good prank piqued his interest especially as he caught sight of the flooding hallways. 

      kyu was shockingly prepared for such a situation. comically prepared. he burst down the corridor, hopping atop a raised ledge as he prepared his spell. he’d been saving the prop for his own mischief but when opportunity presents itself... 

      with a glance spared to the chaos ensuing around him, kyu gleefully muttered the enchantment to inflate the hilarious pool floaty he’d had folded in his bag for weeks now. the boy hopped comfortably atop his new vessel, one hand pinching the bridge of his nose in a feeble attempt to combat the smell of sewage. 

      ‘ hop on, friends! ’ the hufflepuff invited, floating along the rising river of sludge, ‘ the water’s fine! ’
