she couldn’t manage to get a single word out in debate when her friends decide to “ditch” her last minute, driving away in their cars just to avoid all the trouble of traveling around late. sejeong didn’t seem to ask for a ride as she stood there grumbling, tucking her hands inside her jacket pockets. “fine, leave me! i’ll just walk home!” she shouts before she went to stand safely near the sidewalk in a huff. though maybe it was good that she could take her time, she was in no rush to get home which was practically never after looking at her watch which only struck 7:35 pm.
she just knew that once she managed to get home, they won’t have the time to yell at her for coming in so late (as always).
sejeong continues to walk down the sidewalk, unable to focus on the clock as time slowly passed due to her headphones being stuck to her ear with the music on blast. she was supposed to catch a bus in fifteen minutes and even then it had flew passed her. she manages to spot the last bus which nearly came to a halt almost a mile away and sejeong runs for it the last minute. only one minute late and the bus flew passed, leaving her stranded and with the small raindrops that fell down towards her head, it only made her situation worse, it seemed.
“what the hell... what am i gonna do now?” she exasperated, trudging through inch by inch just because there was no way that sejeong was going to wait another hour for the next one.
but her attention span manages to fail her again and again, frustrated by her own misfortune that she couldn’t see the stranger walking right passed her or at least sejeong thought he had been a stranger. it was probably odd for her to lean against his body like this, she looks up slowly just to find her eyes fixed on him.
