Honestly, it's quite the show.
I am not exactly sure how they met, but I think it would be cute if they met at one of Isle 1 fairs or farmers market and then started bonding by talking about their respective kids, I'm sure at least Elder Kettle has crazy stories to tell about the twins.
Also I like to think Elder Kettle is not short, Split is just fucking massive.

Im sorry if this is a weird question, I just really enjoy reading your headcanons for your characters!
It's funny that this mistake keeps happening.
Chip is not an oc. He's an NPC in the game. I did not make him, he's real.
As for describing him as chivalrous..? I have doubts.
He's respectful, sure, but I'd never really describe him as a gentleman, if you get what I'm saying.
He seems to have a good sense of what's right and wrong! He recognizes that King Dice is bad and someone needed to knock him down a peg, but he never implies that he should be the one to do it.
He's more concerned with his own problems. Not that it's a bad thing! You gotta make sure your own oxygen mask is secure before helping other people, and all that.
