Alr chat I'm in a yapping mood today so you're gonna here about my concepts for cuphead npcs in MOTM.
Starting with Mac because I have the most vivid idea in my head for him
Mkay so. If you don't know, Mac is an npc in Cuphead (the first game not the dlc), specifically in isle one.
Not much stands out about him at first--hes just a apple-headed npc who gives you coins when you interact with him. Cool.
But I wanted to expand a bit more on him, especially since he gave me a writing GOLD MINE with his dialogue.
"I used to be the same way,always getting into trouble..Runnin, Jumpin, Shootin..."
This can imply that he was simply just another troublemaker,BBBUTTT. What if we twist this a bit?
What if Mac was a previous debtor of the devil himself. One that,by sheer miraculous luck,got away? It wouldn't surprise me if the cup bros weren't the first that the devil manipulated into doing his dirty work,after all..
The concept of Mac getting away is possible, considering all the cuphead bosses technically got away themselves before the c-bros came along. Maybe the devil just forgot about Mac,or considered him relatively unimportant.
It also helps that design-wise,he has a chunk taken out of his head. A bite mark.
Also slightly unrelated but still interesting to think about, usually when people talk about the story of Adam and eve in the bible,they associate the forbidden fruit as an apple.
HMMMM.
