'Open source home theatre software,' jesus christ. The only piece of new technology I'm allowing myself to want or buy when I can afford it is the Oculus Rift, but I'm starting to feel that that's quite an old idea rather than a string of words like that so it's not too disconcerting. I had ipods and gameboys and everything when I was younger but the entirely superfluous connection between everything I'm not used to whatsoever.

ok but sam i'm talking about discussions my ex and i had about people who either i've known for any length of time - sometimes several years - on this website (like yourself, for instance) or people who reblog my photos with no expectation of ever speaking with me
also, i still get to decide when i consent to accept "compliments", and in what ways, and i don't give a fuck what their reactions are to my responses. i'm well aware that there are people (men) out there who will call me ungrateful or harass me for not accepting their bullshit. why would you ever think this would be news to me?
i don't know if you recall an incident in which i asked someone to remove my photo from their porn blog? they refused to. i then asked tumblr to delete their posts, and received zero response. someone then anonymously messaged me that i was in a hidden cam porn filmed by an ex. do you remember this.
their disgusting behavior was NOT a result of my not "accepting their compliments," it was a result of their misogyny, and nothing i would have ever said could have changed that about them. that was not my fault.
i will absolutely never "accept their compliment and document their response." i never said i would consent to any and all responses, i said that i get to decide when i accept positive responses to my photos.
also please dont cite a buzzfeed article on my blog ever again
