Yes!! DS9 is great. Flawed (like all ST) but great.

I have been amazed at the vitriol against it. I really liked it!

I liked it too. I think the plot could’ve been tighter but neither TFA nor Rogue One shined in this department, and I really liked the themes TLJ explores, and the way the characters evolved. Hell, even the villains were entertaining imo. 

(I also loved the references to ‘the empire strikes back’ which is my fav of the original trilogy. I think they tried very hard to replicate the mood of Episode V. I could’ve survived with less Yoda though.)

@clarias I DON’T KNOW I’m still so upset by this. I’ve been playing a lot of Final Fantasy and having so many flashbacks to the times I tried to discuss the games with the people that I /knew/ played them and… they just didn’t care about the story or even the characters that much. They would care about the battles, the mechanics, or even the setting, yes; but not the story. Or maybe they refused to talk about that bc it was a ‘nerd thing’ or didn’t want to talk about that with me in particular bc I was a girl, I don’t know (14yo is a difficult time). And I’m pretty sure that it wasn’t just the people I knew back then: every time I read a review of a game that only mentions the plot in passing I know it’s most likely been written by a man.

@magewardensurana I know you don't like ME3 much... now you gotta tell me if DAI has a better plot of ME3 in your opinion so that I have a clearer picture 😆

@clarias it’s hilarious bc of DAI’s ‘game of the year’ status vs. all the backlash Andromeda got… especially considering that they share a lot of the same problems (and ok, maybe three years ago they were kind of 'forgivable’ but bad plot is still bad plot). I never expected MEA to measure up with ME2 or 3, the only comparable game of the original trilogy would be ME1. I’m kind of sad that, not even considering the rightfully deserved criticism re: gay romance options, it got so bad they’re putting the entire project on hold
