An airbreathing catfish found in in Southeast Asia including southern Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malay Peninsula, parts of the Greater Sunda Islands (Indonesia and Malaysia, including Borneo), and the Philippines. They have a suprabranchial organ behind the gills that allows them the capability of traveling short distances on land.

I’ve watched the first two parts of Money Heist and it’s so good! The ending felt really complete though, is it worth watching the next two parts? Are they as good or is it a “shame they never made a sequel to The Matrix” situation?

This is just my personal opinion, but I actually think this is one of those few situations where you’re genuinely good either way?

I don’t think there’s much chance that parts 3 and 4 will ruin the show for you at all - so far I feel like they’ve also been really well written and super thrilling, with all the characters and relationships you love (and some great new ones!) although part 3 was overall stronger than part 4. I think they continued the story in a way that made sense and upped the stakes while still holding true to the overall themes. I’ve had a blast watching them! And most people I’ve spoken to seem to feel the same way.

But the most notable thing to remember is (and I hope this isn’t too much of a spoiler) that while parts 1+2 were a self-contained story from start to finish, parts 3+4 so far have been the first two parts of a longer story that isn’t yet complete, and it’s hard to judge it at this point fully because I don’t yet know how it ends.

I’ve been burned by beloved tv shows going off the rails before, so even though I absolutely don’t think they’ve fucked it up YET, I can’t deny that there’s always a chance they will in the future, which would be a real shame considering how perfect an ending part 2 already had if they had just decided to leave it there. From what I understand, parts 5 and 6 have already been confirmed, so there’s a lot of room for high expectations to be disappointed.

So I guess my advice would be the same for watching any show still airing: proceed with caution. For me personally it’s always worth watching a show for as long as I’m still enjoying myself and having fun spending more time with these characters, because I know that even if the end product winds up being disappointing it won’t retroactively ruin all the stuff I loved about the journey. But if that’s something you’re worried about happening and would rather know for sure, I get it, and it might be an idea to wait until the whole show is wrapped up to decide whether you want to watch the rest...if you can resist temptation for that long!

Maybe this isn’t super helpful advice, but really all I can say at the end of the day is that I personally still think the show is really good, and I’m glad I continued watching it. Maybe one day that might change, but it hasn’t yet. And I always like to remain optimistic.

It is a real shame they never made any sequels to the Matrix though.

Thanks to you I’ve watched Black Sails and The Americans and now my standards for television have been forever raised. Amazing shows. Are there any others you would recommend? I seriously trust your taste lol

Mr Bennett is actually a terrible father and the characterization is SO GOOD because he’s obviously meant to be loveable but beneath that Jane Austen really knows he’s a jerk

oh totally!! while reading (even as an adolescent) I never got the impression that the narrative ever excused his decisions. He is partly responsible for the things that happen to his family, and as Elizabeth begins to realize it you also start to look at everything that happened in a different light

(tfw when a man you can’t stand confesses he’s in love with you and you both start re-evaluating all your assumptions)

infiltrator! I wanted to be able to use sniper rifles... But I’m not super impressed by the tech talents (overload is much better in ME2 and 3 imo)

Hello! What are you drinking? And also, what are your thoughts about Andromeda from what you know so far? I'm feeling alternately excited and like I won't enjoy it at all. I love Mass Effect so much I'm put off by some of what I've heard.

Ehhhh Andromeda seems like a mess tbh. I’m sure there are good things (I heard the mechanics are good?) and it’s probably fun, but on the other hand the concept of the thing still seems very, uh, strange to me (but I mean it’s not like space colonialism is a new thing in scifi) and the glitches/weird animation/weird writing keep popping up on my dash.

On the other hand, the MEA development was very troubled from what I heard, and the fact that bioware managed to make a good game out of it seems like a thing worth acknowledging? And maybe on tumblr we nitpick like every single bit of dialogue of anything ever? Idk it’s difficult to say. I really like Mass Effect, even with all its flaws, and no doubt MEA will have flaws, but maybe I’ll like it anyway. I’m not buying it immediately though, that’s the only decision I reached so far
