I don’t harbor any ill will towards Jonathon Sims, genuinely! But I do want to fight him in the Arby’s parking lot for the right to the eye imagery I had such a stranglehold on back in the day. I know I was far from the first, but, you all know exactly what I’m talking about, right? This is Tumblr; you know what I’m talking about. If clarification is necessary, this is Cecil Palmer speaking (or, rather, typing).

Not a fight to the death or anything crazy! Just an honorable duel. Fists only. I am not strong or trained in fighting, but I have my integrity, honor, nostalgia lenses, and passion for the aesthetic.

I’ll fight Bill Cipher too, if it helps! I may end up having to fight half the Tumblr Sexyman Wikipedia, if this is the hill I choose to die on, but if that’s my cross, then I’ll bear it. Bring it on!

Is there a Cecil listening? Did you always know I was there? Did you just understand that your reflection was something else? Or did something clue you in? Are you still afraid of mirrors?

Did you ever think your fate, that was fortold so young, wasn’t that bad? Did you ever wonder if the mirror would be the killer and not the weapon?

Did you know I feel horrible? Do you still fear me? Don’t I look like you? Haven’t I always looked like you? Do you think I could ever look like someone else? If I share your visage am I able to change at will just like you? Or am I doomed to always simply reflect?

My school is having a spirit week, and today was Dres Like A Parent Day. Both of my parents dress like how I would normally dress (Mom wears formalwear to work, Dad wears either his work uniform or a tee shirt and shorts) I decided to dress as Cecil Palmer. As a Cecil Palmer fictionkin, I cannot describe how excited I am to see myself in something my source would wear! Even if I’m a different canon, it still makes me so happy.

And to all the people who don’t have a good or existing relationship with their parents, I have some words:

I love you.

I would sit next to you while you cry.

I would watch you do cartwheels, or canon ball into a pool.

I would watch your sports ball games.

Whatever you draw or craft for me would make me smile.
