I finally finished this last installment of #TheLunarChronicles series and I am super hyped to be wrapping this all up. So first things first - the review. Buckle up, boys, it’s Spoiler Alert from now on! . . LIKES: ✅MY SHIP FINALLY SAILED AAAAAAAA. Dammit Thorne, you and your supposed unworthiness. Cress and Thorne’s story arc was extra cute. ✅ The characters are all super diverse. Cinder and Kai are asian, Scarlet is plus sized, Cress is short and Winter is black. I mean...honestly that is just great diversity. Although I have seen some complaints about not making Iko gay but that is a whole different discussion. ✅A rollercoaster of emotions! I got to be afraid for these characters since they were clearly not invincible or immune to anything. ✅I adored the way Marissa Meyer succeeds in combining retellings and fairytales. . DISLIKES: ❎Ummm, I have no idea why, but I couldn’t connect with Jacin and Winter. I mean I liked Winter - poor girl sacrificed her sanity for those around her - but Jacin was just so....meh. Not sure how to explain it. He was okay, but not living up to my expectations. . . All in all, it was a great series and I’m pondering whether or not I should order #Fairest in the future, just for the sake of Levana’s backstory. Did you read it? What did you think?
