Okay. I know this looks like the blandest McCalls pattern for the homeliest potato sack of a dress ever. BUT, picture the A-line cut dress with a collar and yoked bodice that Anya Forger wears, and just bear with me.
There are princess seams instead of darts. It’s already a very loose cut through the waist. I just need to negotiate cutting the opposite pieces in the fold as a single piece than what this pattern specifies, since I need a zipper in the back instead of buttoned open flaps in the front.
This should be a riot. Bonus feature, though; this costume will have POCKETS.
