my wip list rahhh

mephistopheles is a demon featured in folklore and literature; typically a symbol of evil and temptation, "representing the forces that lead people to make morally questionale decisions or to lose themselves in the pursuit of earthly happiness." it's a working title. for the sake of this wip i wanted something associated with trickery and manipulation with undertones of deviant behavior? i have been. so excited aout this fic, actually. i've been working on it for about three months now? i started it around kinktober. psychological horror-esque, second person. the appeal of this fic is getting to push some of my personal limits and force myself out a comfort zone. i'm actually so embarrassed posting about this bc i haven't really talked about it much.

synopsis, so far, pretty simple. i wanted to play with clone fucking. it derailed. here's a snippet:

What are you supposed to do? You claw yourself to consciousness in happenstance— or, no, wait, you’re brought to present. Claws aren’t yours, but you’re being shred all the same. Skin, scraped, clutched, peeled off vein. Blood vessel, burst. You’re being torn, head to toe. Then, amnesty. This, you think, is some sort of salvation, and you emerge on the other side, curled fetal and protected. Everything: safe, warm, warm warm warm. Blanket, you think, though you struggle in half marks to put name to material. Sharp, your recollection of knowledge: you’ve come stockpiled with intellect unsuited to your years. Your minutes, you consider, and that’s a spiral to crisis, though you’re unsure if the crisis is even your own, or that application is also applied against your will. What am I, what is this, where am I, what if what if what do we do are we fucked I fucked up I fucked up I fucked up call Hennessy call Declan call someone call Adam what do I do what did I do fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck And you’re irritated, now, with the commentary. So you sit up and clasp hands over either ear, hiss and wince and its a juvenile outrage. You kick legs, and slap your head, but that refrain keeps up, fuck fuck fuck fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck– This next part— integral. You blink, up, examine, and this is coming home. This is RonanRonanRonan, and its familiarity and an old little dream. Perilous, the place you’ve been plucked from. But Ronan is a little spot of warmth, something resembling hands on ribs, on hips, lips on hands; the familiar tread of fingers over nose bridge, over back, over thighs and torso and… your fingers twitch, to reach up, even as he stares down at you, immeasurable horror flickering over recognition in feature film. “You’re not supposed to…” Ronan clears his throat and you twitch, again, to reach up to him. “You weren't…” But you did. And you open your mouth, to tell him. But it's a silent protest, halfhearted scream. Your vocals, collapsed. That's near unbearable, and you see how Ronan's torn apart in the realization. “Fuck.” He says, or thinks. Thought, filtered through your own. Indistinguishable. Help. Help. What’s happening? “I need to…” Ronan’s expression flickers, moves to neutral ground. Resignation. Moves across the room, does not deign you a glance. Silent migration across antiquated floorboards, crackle, snap, groan, where bare feet thunder, rattle. You watch your hands— calloused, chapped, tinged in flakes of red, pink. Hear phone: in dial. Ronan, Ronan’s dialing, he’s dialing, and the cybernated rattle of a program in distress. No, that’s you, that’s your head. Listen, stop. Pause. No, that’s Ronan. No, it’s the electrical currents. It’s the outlets. No, it’s the phone. Ronan? “Parrish.” That’s me. I’m Parrish. Why are you… Ronan doesn’t leave— but you have, you’re not here. Not to him, so not to you. So you stare at the fissures between planks in wood and wonder what now. “I can’t.” Ronan croaks, throat stripped. And he’s watching you, like you’re an abomination. Like you’re a bug to squash, beneath feet. And he’s already debating where to chuck you in the bin. “Adam, I…” I’m Adam. You’re Adam. Why is he talking to you? Clicking into place, when Ronan faces back to you, rests forehead against the wall. Sighs. Groans. Bumps fist into wall, again and again and againagainagainagainagain– That is Adam. You are Adam. Two things can be true. You are alive. You are a copy. There two things are, also, true. And the way Ronan is looking at you? The way he winces and his brow pinches and he grimaces in distress? They are going to kill you. You want to live. Two things can be true. •••

I mean, the average person would not expect to see the two pairs of 8 inch pleasers that inhabit my car at all times, but i suppose if you know I do pole dancing it seems relatively logical.

aside from that, I have like 2947493 CDs because my car isn't exactly new and still has a CD player and my sister went through a phase of going to the thrift stores and buying me 90s music. Oops! I Did It Again is my favourite.

Sitting here writing this; I am thinking back to when I was dming one of my closest friends on twitter and we were freaking out over consent together. I can’t put into words how nervous I was to reach out to you after the second chapter dropped. And now, that feels like forever ago and I just want to say that I am so glad I did.

You’re not just only one of the most talented souls, but you’re one of kindest and the funniest and I feel so so so lucky to call you my friend.

Every conversation I have had with you has had me roaring with laughter and/or making heart eyes through the screen at you. I could honestly spend forever writing about how grateful I am for the happiness you breathe into my life. You have been an absolute beacon of light on this hellsite and I will thank my lucky stars (or more accurately pedro pascal) for discovering you and your phenomenal talents.
