There was no denying how stubborn Cyno could be when it came to his work. Rarely did he let illnesses or injury affect him. If he could walk, he was fine. Even in the worst of conditions, he often tried to push through so as to keep loyal to his duties. This time was no different. He’d pushed himself until exhaustion. Of course, he should have expected Tighnari to be the one to pull him back to reality and make him acutely aware of how severe his condition was becoming.

“I’m fine...” A lie. His breathing was heavy and his eyes unfocused. He could feel the heat taking over. For once accustomed to the desert sun, this heat... well, it was actually quite uncomfortable. This was yet another reason he knew he should be alarmed about this sickness. “Mmm... perhaps not...” He finally said, letting out a sigh as he began to slump back a bit, his body feeling heavier than normal. “I didn’t... think it was this bad...”

It is a rarity for the Wanderer to ever rest in the presence of another. But with Sumeru's Archon, it is a different story.

For once, he would be a fool to reject an act of kindness from Celestia. And so, here he rests, in the meadow of green beside the god donning similar colours.

It is… a little strange, allowing his lids to flutter shut. Sealing off the world and its tepid light. Basking himself in the internal darkness that would find no flood of false images to lull himself to rest.

Dreams were a luxury he was not fortunate to possess. It was the one arena where mortals surpassed his divinity.

But the gentle tune, poured with the liquor of wisdom, is a solace.

And eventually, slumber finds the Wanderer with a tender hand.
