Hey, so i don't really think I've ever really felt sexual attraction to anyone i know or even have seen in the real world, but i have felt sexual attraction to a few celebrities before. Do you have any idea what this could mean/if this is an experience some aspec people have?
Yes, there's actually a label for that- proculsexual. It's for people who are only sexually attracted to people they can never be in a relationship with. So, celebrities, fictional characters, etc. Celesexual is the term for when it's strictly celebrities.
In my opinion, it makes sense that some acespecs would be sexually attracted to people they have no chance with. After all, even those of us who do experience sexual attraction, might not want it reciprocated for various reasons. (Maybe sex repulsion. Maybe simply being uninterested in sex. Maybe some other reason.) It's like, being sexually attracted to a person who can't reciprocate is "safe." Though it could also be pure coincidence too. Everyone is different.
It's up to you whether you want to identify with these labels, or use a broader term. But it's definitely a thing!
