He had one hand locked on the console, and the other immediately around her waist. “I’ve got ye. Ye will nae fall.” He seems entirely unconcerned about having her so close.
“The Doctor would’ve been hit and we would’ve crashed somewhere and we’d spent days bein chased by some beastie and lookin for some part.” He gives her a grin, to say that this is a far better way of handling things. He still hasn’t moved.
“Guess there’s somethin to readin about the ship after all.”
Romana let out another little gasp as her eyes widened slightly for a moment, not having expected this turn of events. At all.
She herself kept a tight grip on the console, staring pointedly at the controls as she watched them land. Once they were down safely, she let go of the console, though she didn’t make any movement away from him. She’d regained her calm, however.
❝ How odd. ❞ She said under her breath, before turning to look at him. He was close enough that she only tilted her face. ❝ Yes, that seemed to often be the case, now didn’t it? ❞ Romana agreed with a wry smile, almost a chuckle. ❝ Yes, I’d say so.
