I would tell them to keep such comments to themselves and just be happy for you. Because that’s kinda a low blow on their part

I try and when I do my parents just get angrier, like last time I told that to my dad he said that in that case he was never going to give me help with anything financial, which included teaching me how to do things and helping me with forms that I literally can't do myself because I need all sorts of information from him.

If you’re going for something you love, or just because it’s something that you really want to do. Don’t drop out. There’s a good chance you’ll regret it later down the road

It's more because I feel like I'm being punished for being in the school I am and they're always guilting me about it and making me feel bad for how much the school costs.

[ Well, my favorite hobby is probably reading, but I like writing, collecting vinyl, snowboarding when my knee allows me (THIS WILL BE THE COMEBACK YEAR I CAN FEEL IT), and traveling, especially in Europe.

My favorite animal is my dog Steve, because he is the best I’m sorry I don’t make the rules.

And one crazy fact is that I have virtually no sense of smell. Citrus sometimes gets through, and unfortunately weed always does. I had a virus that killed off most of the receptors in my nose so that’s a thing. ]

More for the whole running away from everything aspect than the getting over a breakup bit.

When I'm bored and unwilling to do coursework my brain just spams me with random RP related things, like;

Antonia getting really bored one night and climbing on top of one of the raised graves with a rope so she can drop down spider-man style when Lucida appears in an attempt to spook her (Which of course fails miserably because Lucy's ghost friends would have told her she was there at some point in the 6 years it would take to set everything up properly so she didn't fall and break her skull).

Antonia accidentally praying to Gabriel in her sleep because everything is terrifying and there are very few people she trusts to actually be able to fix that.

Antonia falling through the infernal dimensional tear that is definitely hiding somewhere in her apartment block, ending up in hell, and then sitting curled up in a ball in one of the demon king/prince/dukes offices until they get bored enough with her constant questions/complaining/commentary on their horrendous immorality that they either kill her or send her home.

Now back to failing to do work.
