"For a fact I know that whenever my boyfriend says my name it's because I am suppose to shut up. Same with my best friend, like a jinx or something."

Snickering at the mention of the word 'jinx', Sukyung shook her head as a tiny smile graced her lips. "I highly doubt it's like a jinx. I still think you're putting too much thought into this. If it bothers you so much, why don't you bring it up with them?"

"Why does everyone say my name like it means shut up?"

Glancing up from the magazine Sukyung was idly flipping, she slightly tilted her head to the right. The question took her off guard. She wasn’t sure if the girl before her was being serious or if she saying it lightheartedly like some sort of joke. 

"Gee I don’t know, Lainie. Maybe you should try looking up your name in the dictionary to see if the words, ‘shut up’, are next to it.” Sukyung snickered at her own crack at a joke before straightening up in her chair. She placed the magazine that was resting within the palms of her hands gently onto the table. Clearing her throat, she quickly thought up of a more serious answer. 

"Truthfully, I don’t know. Maybe you’re just looking into it all too much. I know for a fact I don’t say your name like that."
