I still post on tiktok! occasionally. when I have time haha… (i did post a video on halloween, of those haunted house memes I've done. mostly the same ones i've posted here but there's one that i haven't!)

I definitely want to make more tiktok videos again! they just take a lot of time to make. I did post an animatic on my Patreon last week, it's available to free members too. So you just have to have an account to see it. And to those who don't have tiktok: any new animatics that I'd post on tiktok I'll also post on Patreon (for both free and paid members). Might sometimes post them on tumblr too but sometimes I can't if the video has music.

The forecast said that today was going to be unusually cloudy with the oncoming rain that's set to pour after Halloween, because that's what Hawaii needs, more rain Yusuke thought. However he was not alone on this cloudy afternoon seen beside him was a young girl, possibly eleven in appearance.

"Are you sure you're lucky Mr Urameshi?? Because getting a Gothika card is..very very hard." The girl spoke up, holding his basketball as they carried on.

"You kiddin'? I'm a pro at trading cards, don't doubt me now..besides it beats stayin' at home doesn't it?" Yusuke said with a smile. "For context..what'd this Gothika look like anyway?" Yusuke asked.

"You don't know Gothika?? She's actually one of the strongest Dark Heroes." The girl spoke up going through her phone and then she just happened to stumble upon a photo of the character.

"Oh..she's a vampire." A gothic one at that, dressed in black, wields two daggers it looks like it..hmmm, she's actually pretty voluptuous too..America never skimps on the cleavage and then..wait a minute...huh, she really does look like a 2D version of Astaria. Then speak of the devil, he actually sees her not too far ahead. (he knows her shape anywhere). "Hey Asta!! Hold on..how're you out n-" He paused, realizing that he wasn't alone.

"Oh, Penoh, this is my friend. Her name's Astaria." Yusuke spoke as he introduced her to his little companion, who looked at the woman in awe, she was beautiful and looked SOO much like the character she idolized to the point that she'd gotten shy hiding her face behind the basketball and her frame behind Yusuke. "Don't get shy now..she won't bite." 'Well she won't bite you anyway.' He said in the back of his mind.

There was a situation… one firmly outside of Astaria’s repertoire of stab it, charm it, or set it on fire. This one reeked of demonic possession. Under ordinary circumstances, she wouldn’t even have bothered—but the man sweetened the deal with a steady supply of fresh blood for a whole month for seeing it through. And that just about made it worth her time.

If Astaria was going to indulge in a spot of charity-for-hire, she might as well get in touch with the one spiritual guide she actually trusted to survive it.

Only… Yusuke wasn’t alone.

Ugh.

Now, Astaria wasn’t sure what landed her surprise the most: the kid’s awe upon landing those doe eyes on her, or the fact Yusuke—loud-mouthed, trouble-chasing Yusuke—was apparently one to babysit now?

“A pleasure.” Astaria trailed off, narrowing her eyes with arms akimbo. “Darling, tell me you’re not terribly busy as of now.” A sigh spilled from her lips and she pulled out her phone. “There’s been a… situation.”

That’s as much as she was willing to disclose while in the presence of another.

Dark eyes would be rolled at the quarter hellion - she knew he would be wielding the demonic grey incantation in precisely this manner, the dastardly dickens. She did truthfully feel intrigued by the hemoglobin hungry histrionic hedonist, particularly his range in mannerisms from jovial theatrical villain to a ravenous beast. And how simple it seemed for one to rile him up at times with relatively innocuous commentary or impish actions. Though this very truth alone did irk her internally, how it did seem she kept entertaining the Dionysian devil with a fraction of her mental space, which he seemed to occupy and she couldn't quite expunge.

Even recently, when one iteration of the deleterious diva had even taken to seemingly more chivalrous displays, and how the man in general seemed to be able to reciprocate a good amount of her antics with his own brand of retaliation so to speak, keeping her on her toes. It definitely didn't hurt that he was clearly very cultured and enjoyed the finer things in life, namely a breadth of literature and a myriad of other things which made for intellectually stimulating interaction. And also she would begrudgingly admit she found his choice of attire to be quite becoming suitable at times, the man certainly had taste. Gods damn it all, she absolutely loathed every moment of this - whatever thought she thought she had buried in the deep recesses of her mind seemed to be pouring out in this very instant, and there didn't seem to be anything she could do to put a halt to this unwanted outpouring.

"..." She would pause before sharply exhaling. "He does intrigue me, yes. And perhaps I do at times take to studying and observing his response to various antics, as well as engaging in the occasional banter and bickering cycle. I do think, however, there is still much to be learned on my end about him, though perhaps I wouldn't be opposed to doing so. Also truthfully I do believe "love" is a very ludicrous way to describe this, and too extremely passionate and advanced a description for this current stage. I am not some lovesick schoolgirl, for Hades' sake." And another roll of the eyes as she grit her teeth. "A change of topic would be nice, yes?"

For the sheer sake of being cliche or not, what was love anyway? Perhaps she had had fleeting interests more so in her younger years, but she could not ever have utilized that term to describe any of those ultimately transient moments. She didn't even know whatever... whatever this was.
