This is only 40 minutes worth of photon capture of this distant small object. NGC 2359, Thor’s Helmet Nebula, is a 12,000 light year distant emission nebula in the constellation Canis Major. It is about 30 light-years in size. The central star is an extremely hot star thought to be in a brief pre-supernova stage of evolution. Interactions with a nearby large molecular cloud are thought to have contributed to its complex shape and curved bow-shock structure. I want to shoot this again, soon. #celestronavx #celestrontelescopes #asi294mcpro #asiairpro #astrophotographer #astrophotography #clayhausphotography https://www.instagram.com/p/Cavw65bLa_e/?utm_medium=tumblr
