I do like how protocol never depicts Celia as really evil. She’s just as sympathetic and likeable in season 2 and you can see why Sam would never expect her to betray him even after you know how far she’s willing to go. And she is that nice person! She’s just also insanely desperate and prioritising Jack and herself over literally everything else. She’s all of that. And just because she CAN do horrible things for her own (perceived) benefit doesn’t mean she won’t keep herself in a dangerous position for her friends. Plus, it’s fun (horrible) to see how much she and Alice genuinely like each other and rely on each other when there is that massive fucking ticking time bomb under the table.
