Open and honest
I honestly don't know why it took me so long to start a blog. I probably felt like no one would read it or pay attention to it because it's about me NOT having sex and we all know how hypersexual this generation (and the next one) is. They're not trying to hear that "no sex" shit but, alas! Here I am, 3 years and 9 months later blogging about just that. It took me a long time to get to a place to be completely open about my celibacy to the point where I feel comfortable answering questions and taking criticism. But that is apart of the game. My primary goal with this is now to be a support system to potential celibates or celibates in training (CIT 😜) and seasoned celibates who feel alone in this. I know when I was looking for support, there was virtually none. There were tons of abstinence advice and support, and even though the two are related, i needed specifics. The celibacy support that was out there was completely un-relatable and didn't move me at all seeing as how I'm a twenty something year old girl from The hood. I'm not trying to be a monk or a nun. Knowing that I couldn't have been the only celibate person in the world that needed something else, I decided to go public and reach out to those who were feeling like me. Thus, hopefully I can give my fellow celibates what they need and/or sway an aspiring celibate to get off the fence and join the community of spider-webbed crotches (figuratively speaking, if course).
