The audacity of multi-year-Idol-Award-winning HUNTR/X to beef with a debuting boy band, kill them humiliate them so badly at the Idol Awards that literally nobody remembers their set and not a single Saja Boy has shown his face in weeks, only for HUNTR/X to finally break their hiatus by covering the Saja Boys' one-hit-wonder while wearing their outfits
Gift art for Celine DaHyeu Kim, the art director on Kpop Demon Hunters, of her little crow persona Krowly. I follow her account on bluesky and wanted to make something nice for her to cheer her up as well as an excuse to push myself to paint a full illustration again.
Character reference art by Celine posted below:

More than Anything
EVIDENCE THAT CELINE IS THE FATHER:
(actually just my favorite HC of the situation and it's a doozy)
Before Rumi, Celine and Miyeong fall in love during idol training. The third Sunlight knows all about it and is the only one willing to just go with it and so they become the famous pop group we all know.
Cut to a few years later, they're established, thriving. Celine and Miyeong are still super in love. Miyeong wants kids, desperately wants them. Like ovaries banging on every surface for attention.
Celine suggests they use a donor but they can't settle on one from the bank and none of the Sunlights have a brother or uncle they can ask, or even a guy they're friends with like that. So they put the idea on the back burner.
Miyeong starts to pull away. She insists it's fine, that they'll adopt one day or settle on a donor or something, but Celine hates seeing her like that.
Celine starts to hate herself just a little for not being able to give Miyeong what she wants. It's a silly thing that sticks in her chest and grows day after day. Every time a fan holds up a little kid to see better at one of their shows or bring a baby to a signing event, Celine's hatred and frustration with herself grows until one day she hears a voice in her ear.
She knows what the voice is and tries so hard to ignore it. She's a hunter, she should be able to power through and get better. But the voice is right and she sinks farther into her self-loathing.
Then the voice offers her a deal.
The ability to give Miyeong what she wants in exchange for Celine's soul.
She refuses.
At first.
Then she finds Miyeong crying one day in the living room at an ad for diapers and something inside Celine snaps.
She takes the deal, with conditions.
The voice can have her soul but she insists that she never have patterns while alive. She's surprised when the voice agrees.
She also insists that Miyeong NEVER knows about the deal. The voice is fine with that too. After all, it's getting the soul of a Hunter of all things.
There's debate on her third request, that the voice must leave her alone until her death and must let her live her life uninterrupted or coerced by the underworld in any way. Eventually the voice relents.
The deal is struck and one day Celine wakes up with an extra body part capable of fulfilling the agreement. Miyeong is understandably freaked out at first, mostly with how calm Celine is about it. But Celine explains it away as a gift from the Honmoon to ease their suffering.
(Years and years later, when polytrix actually does get this gift from the Honmoon, Celine will have an absolute breakdown over her past again.)
They conceive. Miyeong is overjoyed, Celine is as happy as she can be, and Sunlight3 is all for being a cool aunt.
But the voice had chosen to keep some information hidden. Like how taxing the pregnancy would be, how much it would strain Miyeong's physical health.
How it would take away the very thing Celine loved most in the world.
And so Celine is left with a newborn and a dead lover. Her grief is overwhelming and in her spiral, she lets slip her deal to Sunlight3.
It's a blowout argument. Sunlight3 is unimaginably angry at Celine, and nearly leaves right then and there.
Then they both notice the little pattern on baby Rumi's chest, dead center where her heart is. And Sunlight3 has had enough.
She packs her stuff and disappears off the face of the earth. She leaves a note saying she'll dispatch any demons she comes across but that she's done being an idol and a Hunter. That what they have has become a lie and any chance of making a Golden Homoon will have to wait until the next generation of hunters comes around.
Celine is alone. With a newborn she tries so hard to love how Miyeong would have.
She never lets Rumi call her Eomma, it was the name Miyeong wanted to go by and Celine feels like she's already dishonored her memory enough.
When Rumi starts developing more patterns and sharper teeth than the average toddler, Celine knows she never really was off the hook for the demon parts of her deal. And now her hard fought child would have to bear the brunt of the punishment.
