a royal’s duty | celine and gaius

Another day spent in the world of Elympios. However, today was a day that was to be spent with the people, seeing how their lives actively were in Elympios. Gaius had almost gotten the jist of it for himself -- they relied on Spyrix due to their lack of mana lobes and connection with spirits, but that was just how the overall land and world worked. Not the people themselves, whom the King of Rieze Maxia would like to learn more about.

So today, he set off to Duval, a bit of a shady town, however, full of people that he, Erston, could talk to and perhaps get some information out of about their lifestyles. It wasn’t hard to tell it was far different than Rieze Maxians, but how different? That’s what Gaius wanted to figure out.

Settling at the Poker Bar, the aristocrat spoke with quite a few people, but none were really giving him the answers he sought out for. Not wanting to give in, the male spotted a young woman sitting at the counter, and got up to engage. She was quite different from the rest of the people he had spoken to -- perhaps she was of the higher class.

“Pardon my intrusion, but do you happen to come here often?” Giving the bartender a small signal, the male had two glasses of red wine brought out for the both of them. Though, this probably looked like he was trying to hit on her, though, he could assure that wasn’t the case.
