Chapter 3: In Which Flavia The Faun Tries To Seduce Me

Excerpt:

Once we are inside, he shuts the door and sighs. “I apologise for my sister’s behaviour, Cellanus. It shan't happen again.” “Oh,” I say. “You’ve just called me ‘Cellanus.’” He tilts his head to the side, his eyebrows furrowed in puzzlement. “Yes. Are we not on a first name basis now?” “How do you mean?” “You called me ‘Felix.’”  I blink. “I—I suppose I did. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to do that, Brother Felix. I shouldn’t have done that.” He frowns. “…You can just call me Felix if you’d like.” His words are slow and deliberate, with a hint of nervousness. I swallow. The odd feeling returns. I fear I may insult him if I tell him I’d rather go back to using our titles. And quite frankly, I’m not sure that I want to.  “Okay,” I say. “I will call you Felix and you can call me Cellanus.”

Felix smiles.  That feeling intensifies inside me.

Cellanus loves cute things!

The Devil 1000% percent. As for your ocs, based on what I know about Cacciaguida, I do not think they would get along. lol

🍉 [WATERMELON] What will your OC take to the grave?

I don't think there's any secret in particular Cellanus has. He's pretty open about everything.

🍌 [BANANA] Have parts of your OC been lost to time (in-universe)? What do they wish they could lose from themselves?

Cellanus's innocence regarding The Horrors. He really wishes he could get that back. Cellanus also wishes he could lose his PTSD. (But he doesn't know what PTSD is as it's the 9th century, but the sentiment is still the same.)

🧅 [ONION] What is surefire to make your OC cry? Who knows of this information?

(Minor spoilers for the next chapter!) Getting his penis stolen by a witch is a great way to make him cry.

🍐 [PEAR] What is their current social standing? If they could change it, would they, and to what?

Currently, the locals consider him a saint as he survived an almost martyrdom by Vikings. However, the also consider Cellanus slightly annoying at times but when you see someone survive an attempted martyrdom, you'll tolerate them a lot more. Cellanus would prefer not to be considered a saint (he feels it is blasphemous) but he does like that now more people are coming to his bible studies.

🥒 [CUCUMBER] How innocent are they (unaware to the bad happenings around them)?

Cellanus knows that bad things are happening around him, but he's so optimistic that he doesn't exactly realise how others are thinking. For example, when Halfdan dragged him through the streets of Jorvik as his slave, Cellanus was aware people were horrified at what he now was, but he was just so happy to be home he didn't care.

🥑 [AVACADO] What will they never back down about, even if it makes them seem bad?

If Cellanus sees something he does not think is morally right, he will step in to change it right that very second with absolutely no second thought. Great for when something requires quick action. REALLY stupid when you need a plan to solve a problem. It is his fatal flaw.

🍆 [EGGPLANT] How are they used by others? How easily are they tricked into this?

I wouldn't say Cellanus is necessarily used by other people because they've tricked him. It's more that the consequences are clear to literally everyone and he doesn't really think about it.
