others take care of their instruments because their instruments are like an extension of themselves. i take care of myself because my body and mind are extensions of my cello. i exist to coax music from the strings and fill the wood with movement. without me, my cello would have but the barest ability to create, governed by whatever vibrations he might pick up from his environment. without my cello, i am nothing. good day
