Full Day in Prague
Today as I was thinking about all the things we did I remembered that I failed to mention that yesterday we walked across the famous Charles Bridge. I do have pictures however you'll have to wait until we return to Sweden because the hotel internet won't cut it for upload speed. Until then you can read more about the bridge here:

We also checked out the Old Town Square yesterday evening although not during a time when the Astronomical Clock was doing anything. Here's more info. on the square:

After dinner we finished the night with some Häagan Dazs ice cream! YUM.
Today we had breakfast in our hotel, which was nice and free. Yay! Then we headed out for a full day of activities. We didn't return until almost 10p.m.! First stop was the Prague Castle. We actually purchased the short ticket, which can take a little less time than the long visit ticket, because we weren't sure how the kids would do. We saw St. Vitus Cathedral, Old Royal Palace, St. George's Basilica, and Golden Lane with Daliborka tower. It cost roughly $27 for all of us to visit. The kids did quite well. Sometimes better than others. We mixed the sites with shopping, lunch, and a traditional Czech pastry stop and that seemed to help. Here's more info. on the castle should you care to read it:

After that we headed to Wenceslas Square. We then stopped off at a McDonalds for snack. We stayed longer than expected because it began to rain. So instead of us all going to black light theater tickets, Luke went alone instead. It worked out great because it provided the kids a much needed break to relax and do something they don't do much, dine at McDonalds. I did get a picture of the square much later in the day.
After our long break sitting around in McDonalds we headed to dinner at Celnice. Another recommendation from Kate, the girl from our CF Malmö box. It was delicious Czech food, reasonably priced. We had 3 sodas, a liter bottle of water, the kids chicken entree, the forest robber's delicacy, an order of the homemade smoked meat products, i.e. sausages and dessert. In total the bill was $44 for all of us to eat! Here's a picture of the poppyseed cake with apricot stuff for lack of a better word. It was cold like ice cream but not exactly ice cream. More like slushy apricot. The kids and I enjoyed it since Luke has given up dessert for the year.

After dinner we headed to our black light theater show called, Wow! For all 4 of us to see the show it was 1900 Koruna (Czech currency), ~$102. Here is Mara looking at the pamphlet.
What a fantastic show. In certain parts of the show, it lightly sprinkled on us, snowed, glow in the dark bubbles came down, and large balls, spiders, and balloon came into the audience. This is all in addition to the show being completely done under black lights. The show consisted of bright, awesome costumed dancers dancing to neat music which loosely had a story attached to it. The kids loved it. Campbell conked out a one point for a short time though, since it started at 8p.m. which is past his usual bedtime. He woke back up not too much later though when the big balls came into the audience. To learn more about the history of it go here:

What a fun-filled day for all! When I asked Mara what her favorite part was she said, "all of the day."
