October 1, 2018 The light green on the Christmas tree is DONE! Celtic Christmas is progressing. I mean, other than last week, last week was a wash. But the week before that? My needle was smoking.

Well, unfortunately I didn’t get much done this week - somehow it just got away from me. On the positive side, I’ve decided to quit being so goddamn lazy and use my camera to photograph my work instead of my phone!

I swear, guys, I’ve only been lax in posting! Well, actually that isn’t completely true. It’s more that I’ve lost track of time. I figured I’d post when the 1over1 skin was complete, which should be a week, tops, right? …right?
Wrong. Just finished it. Had to frog part of it. It looks stunning, though. Now I’m going to put in another week on the Christmas tree. I’d really like both of them done by Christmas, but the tree is the main one. Look at me, all warm and fuzzy and festive and very un-grinch-like…which is easy to be in Canada in frickin’ *June*.
I’ve also started my first HAED, and it’s stitching up fast seeing as the entire first page is ALMOST ENTIRELY BLACK. I figured it would be a good way to get my feet wet before I send up hip-deep in confetti.
Also, I’ve decided to begin just a few Miras for variety. The ones I’ve chosen are Rose of Sharon, Enchanted Mermaid, Queen Mermaid and Stargazer and, once I finish Celtic Christmas, Crystal Symphony will go on the scroll frame.
