Adapting to life in the Raft wasn’t easy. With out his suit, he was vulnerable, and with out his technology? It was even worse. A reason to why he’d been planning an escape; even if he’d only been in the damned prison for a few short months.

Peter tried their ‘therapy’ of opening up. He even tried to talk about his change of allegiances, but it amounted to nothing. Nothing other than outbursts of rage and attacks on the guards.

Thankfully, he finally was getting somewhere with his plan; if he was right, a guard would arrive somewhere in the next hour. Then, all he’d have to do is knock them out, and enact the second part of his plan. If he could just get a message out to his ‘friends’ it would be easier, but he didn’t need their help.

Peter Parker - no, Spider-Man could handle his own problems. If that meant attempting to break out of the Raft alone? In the middle of whatever time of day it was? So be it - he’d do it. Just to get a fresh breath of air again.

An unpleasantly familiar face. Olivia groaned inwardly: of course this couldn’t be an easy walk back into normal life. Of all the people to meet out in the world, it had to be one of the guards of the Raft. “Can’t talk, I’m busy.” She attempted to brush past him as if she was simply a preoccupied civilian and not a recently-escaped criminal.

When Mike was initially sent to Graceland he was asked to brush up on his Spanish. Using his phone to help him learn during the plane ride to California. During the time he was working underneath Bello he watched some old western movies. In other words, Mike is familiar with the idea of having to do some research before jumping head first into a new case. However, this is something new to him.

In the past he’s gone under as an ex-marine and a stunt man. Among a few other things, but this is the icing on the cake. Taking on the role of a performer. Honestly? In the beginning? Mike didn’t think they were being serious. Well, that quickly changed when he started taking actual vocal training for a couple weeks before tonight when he’ll be stepping foot on stage for the first time. The hope of all of this is that he’ll somehow gain access into the inner circle of one of the notorious crime bosses in the area. In order to accomplish such a feat and make it appear as though he’s a professional singer and performer, he has to sing in front of an audience.

Go figure.

No pressure or anything.

In order for his cover to remain intact and make it seem believable, he needs others working behind the scenes so-to-speak. An agent. Security. In fact, he’s meeting with these people for the first time today. Luckily they’ve been hired by the FBI. Meaning Mike doesn’t need to worry about telling them lie after lie. It’ll be refreshing to say the least.

So he’s expecting to see new faces when the introductions begin, but there’s one in particular that catches his attention.

Johnny.

❝Johnny?❞ To be fair, he looks … different. Primarily because of the tattoos. Though it isn’t a huge surprise. Having witnessed Charlie putting fake tattoos on him before in the past to help play the part. ❝Why didn’t you tell me you were headed out here?❞

In recent weeks, Rafael has made himself somewhat of a regular at the Tipsy Lizard. Marcus remembers him, partially because of the distinctive tattoos on his neck and arms, and partially because he’d seen him and Lonnie engaging in actual conversations--not just tip-fishing and small talk--seemingly building up a pretty friendly repartee. Which, knowing Lonnie like he does, is more than a little surprising.

(But hey. Maybe they bonded over their shared--and admirably unabashed--love of blackwork tattoos. Odder things have happened.)

Lonnie’s not here today to take the man’s order, however, so Marcus steps up to the plate. And he’s happy to do so. After all, she’s an impressively accurate judge of character; if she’s taken the time to actual begin fostering some sort of friendship with the man, he’s probably the kind of guy Marcus would like to keep around.
