I’ve been realizing I’ve been having a strange addiction to Goggles x Rider yuri recently

I don’t know if it’s cuz I’m a lesbian or if after drawing so much Yaoi i need a break but

I’ve been noticing

I decided to build up of an au gorai focused if it was a shojo manga, after seeing a post that got the idea coming(you know who you are)

Like, an alternative reality where like the lore is focused on more, the agents of squid beak Splatoon can be catgorized as magical girls, with internal conflict of Rider falling in love with Goggles during Splatoon 1 story mode. When it’s outside tje story mode(majority of the manga) the characters are more in-depth,having their own set of lore. I did this because shojo manga tends to be more emotional then shonen(or at least the ones I’ve seen)

The story mode arcs are just as long as the tournament arcs, and YES Goggles gets character development from something(I don’t know what,but something)

My main inspirations are Futari Wa Precure(first precure) and Sailor Moon, since that was the anime I grew up with(I’m NOT 30 years old btw, this was during 2020)

No Rider’s love is not one sided

Maru (shortening his name) but he's actually half pink axolotl and has to hide his frills or something under his hood so only those close to him know about them. He also had the ability to swim and breathe underwater so he always comes back if you think you pushed him in water.

I have this backstory i made for him that he got bullied when he was in highschool but i never really thought of any reasons of why that would be so

adding that in WOULD make sense tbh, and the fact he hides it
