Rumble se acovarda diante da censura prévia da Vera Verão e suspende contrato com Monark. Deletando minha conta no Rumble em 3, 2, 1...
I am convinced that most of the people who endorse blocking don't know what blocking does.
A lot of people think blocking just erases the person's posts from your view and prevents people from sending you messages.
Here's the thing. If that's all what blocking did (and that's the way Tumblr's blocking used to work in prior to 2014)...I'd actually have no problem with it.
Blocking goes beyond that.
Blocking erases forcibly their words from your view while allowing them so see your words at their choice. Blocking even forcibly erases your past words and posts that you wrote.
Blocking also prevents you from reblogging a post the blocker makes. That means, a person can write a whole bunch of lies about you, block you, have others reblog those lies, including mutuals, and you can do nothing to to counter said lies.
And then when people say "you can just log out of your account to see what the other person wrote, so blocking isn't that serious"...they're the ones crossing boundaries. What if I'm not a stalker? Then being blocked for being accused of one is doubly painful, first for the block and second for the false accusation.
So the irony is if you are respecting boundaries, blocking treats you as though you are a criminal for existing.

Social Pressure and Social Media
Social Pressure and Social Media
Corporate entities are bowing to pressures from outside sources that don’t want contradictory views expressed in various forms of media. All this will do is make the eventual Orwellian State take over that much easier. Next stop, Equilibrium. Sure, those who were banned are mostly crazier than a rabid dog, but sometimes we need crazy to check the authoritarians.
